Formit Industrial has been manufacturing chemical tanks since 1983. We offer an extensive range, with capacities from 60 L to 47,300 L – all Australian Standard AS 4766* compliant. They're manufactured to specific gravities (SG 1.0, SG 1.5 or SG 2), they have a self supporting roofs (no centre poles), and they're suitable for storing most DG products, as well as non-DG liquids.

Naturally, we can also manufacture and fit out your chemical storage tanks to your exact specifications, including the fabrication of various fittings, from extension flanges, backing plates and full face flanges, to threaded fittings, sight glasses and float level assemblies. What's more, every tank is delivered complete with a Hydrostatic and Fabrication Inspection report.

* Only a handful of manufacturers in Australia have achieved the coveted AS 4766 compliance. We're one of them. AS 4766 governs the design and manufacture of 'Polyethylene storage tanks for water and chemicals.' It sets out specific requirements for Melt Flow Index, Thermal Stability, UV resistance, dispersion of pigments and additives, light penetration, stress cracking resistance and chemical resistance for non-buried, vertically installed tanks containing water, liquids used in food and beverage manufacture and chemical solutions at atmospheric pressure.
